About Ray

In what year did you begin working in the real estate industry as a REALTOR®?

Why do you like working in the real estate industry?
There is nothing more exciting than helping people fulfill their dreams of owning their first home or finding the perfect home for their current needs.

In what year did you become affiliated with Semonin Realtors®?

Why do you choose to affiliate your business with Semonin?
I decided to get into Real Estate and partner with Semonin after my experience of having my own home sold with a Semonin agent. I want all of my clients to be able to experience what I did. Honesty, attention to detail, listening to my concerns and constant contact with my agent.

What sets you apart from other REALTORS®? What are your greatest strengths as a real estate agent?
I love educating people about my business. You will hear the excitement in my voice when we work together. I want my clients to understand what is going on in their transaction.

What do you do to stay up-to-date/knowledgeable about the real estate industry?
I have always been a reader of industry news and trends. I read all the local news and business papers to find out what could influence our market and I stay in contact with my large network of friends, in all types of local businesses, for "inside" info.

What did you do before you began working in real estate? Has anything you learned on that/those jobs helped you with your real estate business? If so, what/how?
Prior to Real Estate, I spent over 30 years in the wholesale furniture business traveling the mid-western states. I was the factory representative for sales and service to over 200 retail stores. I worked daily with independent owners of multi million dollar stores and their entire staff.

Tell us about your immediate family. Who are they? Do you enjoy spending time together? If so, what do you do together?
My wife, Dodie, and I have been married for over 25 years. We have 3 sons, two in the area and one in Cincinnati. No daughter in laws or grandchildren at this time.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Why is it so helpful to you?
My father always told me "There are not a lack of learners, but a lack of teachers." We all want to learn, that is why I try to educate my clients about the process of buying or selling a home.
